After the powerful performance by the KKR openers they gave 262 runs target to Punjab Kings.
Punjab won the toss and choose to bowl first. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine opened the game for Kolkata Knight Riders and started off with a hitting big boundaries and they both quickly made their fifties. Phil Salt scored his half-centuries in 25 balls and Sunil Narine scored his half-centuries in 23 balls.
Prabhsimran Singh and Jonny Bairstow opened for the PBSK. Singh gave the hard time to the bowlers in the powerplay and he scored 54 runs in 20 balls. Bairstow stand strongly on the crease and give his best to reduce the pressure and hit his hundred in 45 balls with a strike rate of 200+. After Rilee Rossouw’s wicket Shashank Singh came to the crease and support partnership of 84 runs with Bairstow and helped the team to win the match.
