Giakwad’s century helped the team to reach 200+ target runs for Chennai Super Kings.
Ruturaj Gaikwad scored108 runs in 60 balls hitting 12 fours and 3 sixes. CRR for LSG is now 10.5 which is easy to chase but if the wickets get lost in the powerplay then definitely the pressure will be on the middle order. Ajinkya Rahane opened up with Gaikwad and got out in the early overs playing just 3 balls. Daryl Mitchell came and gave a little hope with his four but sent back to dug out by Yash Thkaur.
Ravindra Jadeja stayed for 3 overs in the crease which itself is giving a light of hope but got out after playing 19 balls. Shivam Dube stayed calm during this middle order and have a tough time to LSG bowlers and hit back-to back sixes. But he got run out by Quinton de Kock. By then the CSK was standing at 205 which is unexpected as the last wicket fell off at 101 and now at 205.
Dube and Gaikwad 104 runs partnership sail the boat of CSK to their safe destination. MS Dhoni came on strike and finish the game with a four and by now the team has scored 210 target runs for LSG.
