This time IPL format is no different from the previous season. In the 2023 season there was something called home-away format. In this format each team got a chance to host a match at their home ground and after a home ground match they have to play at opponent ground. This format was very much important to understand the importance of home ground advantage. This is the same format that the management is using in this 17th IPL season also. Last year they conducted 2 matches each day. But this time they are conducting one match a day except on Sunday which they are calling Super-Sunday matches.
This time they have also increase the number of venue from 11 to 13 for IPL 2024. They add ACA-VDCA Stadium and PCA New Stadium to the IPL Venue list.
